Late night HBO host Bill Maher tore into Joe Biden on Friday over his “Build Back Better” agenda, asking how such a bill can help the economy when America is mired in a shortage of workers and supply chain issues.
“It’s interesting. Because I keep reading about the Build Back Better bill. They want — we can’t — we don’t have enough workers, even if we passed it tomorrow,” Maher noted on his show “Real Time.”
“And because of all these supply chain problems, we don’t have building supplies. So, how are we going to build back better if we have no workers and no supplies?” he asked.
“It’s a good idea, though,” he added, referring to Biden’s $3.5 trillion spending bill. “It’s always a good idea.”
Ironically, it’s Biden’s own policies, including vaccine mandates, mass welfare, and inflation that are contributing to America’s deteriorating economic environment he claims he’s trying to fix.
The Biden’s multi-trillion dollar Build Back Better bill stalled in Congress last week after Sens. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) and Joe Manchin (D-W.V.) refused to support the bill as written.
