Congress Plays Baseball While Americans Lose Jobs Over Vaccine Mandates

Very poor optics by Congress

While Americans are getting fired for not taking a Covid-19 vaccine, Congress just finished playing a game of baseball.

Around 600 workers are facing termination at United Airlines for not taking a Covid shot, for example.

Meanwhile, Democrat and Republican congress members were playing a friendly Congressional Baseball Game, with GOP Rep. Greg Steube winning the game by hitting a home run.

This, of course, led to mass criticism on the comment sections of news sites, with people pointing out that many Americans are backed into a corner with nothing else to lose in today’s political climate.

“Debt ceiling? Mass citizenship? Vax mandates? Inflation? Invasion at the border? Americans still in Afghanistan? China reverse engineering more army equipment? Congressman voting on their own raises? Deceit from Fauxi and General Lilly?” Asked one commenter on the news aggregate site Citizen Free Press, pointing out the issues facing the country.

“21st century version of the European aristocracy skipping around in white tights on the polo grounds,” wrote another commenter. “Stop pretending like this is a warm hearted celebration of American culture because these are the very people destroying it, or in the case of the GOP, submissively watching their DNC colleagues do it.”

At least Steube was wearing a ‘Save America’ hat during the game, but overall the optics were terrible; they reinforced the view that Congress is completely out-of-touch with the rest of society.
