The Department of Homeland Security announced the opening of the DHS Center for Countering Human Trafficking, the first-ever government operations center focused solely on law enforcement operations pertaining to human trafficking.

Acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf announced on Tuesday that the center, which has been in operation since last month, combines resources from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) with other DHS components to execute the “4 Ps” of the center’s mission: prevention, protection, prosecution and partnerships.

“Human trafficking is modern day slavery. There is no other way to say it,” said Wolf during a press conference.

“The words are strong because the actions are evil. The forms of exploitation, sex trafficking, forced labor, and domestic servitude that constitute human trafficking are antithetical in every way to the principles of human dignity that Americans hold dear.”

“The launch of this Center for Countering Human Trafficking represents the investment of resources, attention, and time by President Trump to combat and dismantle all forms of human trafficking.”

Remarkably, when it came time for media Q&A following Wolf’s historic announcement, no reporter offered a single question about the new command center or its mission.

Isn’t the creation of a command center for a widespread government initiative to combat human trafficking newsworthy?

The media doesn’t seem to think so — likely because the Trump administration is responsible for it.

Owen reminds the audience the media must be who is involved in what is being swept up amongst the pedophiles, because the media barely covers this ramp-up of arrests and it’s looking very suspect on the media and the left at this point.
