Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Wednesday if the Biden administration would be deleting its account on Twitter anytime soon.

“When are you guys going to delete the White House Twitter account?” Doocy asked, confusing KJP.

“Why would we do that?” she responded.

“Well, you’re saying that you’re keeping an eye on Twitter because it might not be a suitable platform, so why use it?” he said.

The Biden press secretary responded by saying Sleepy Joe has always advocated for social media platforms to “reduce hate speech and misinformation,” but noted there are no policy changes being made at the time.

“We have multiple platforms, as you know, that we utilize to communicate with the American people,” she said.

Earlier this week, KJP told reporters the Biden administration is “keeping an eye on” Twitter under Musk’s leadership in response to a reporter complaining of misinformation spreading on the platform.
