Two women have been arrested after allegedly assaulting ranking police officers during separate incidents at violent protests in New York City, according to reports.

In both cases, the faces of male cops were targeted by female assailants – one who spat and another who punched, the New York Post reports.

Devina Singh, 24, can be seen screaming at an NYPD sergeant on Wednesday night in viral video circulating on social media.

“F**k you, fascist!” she yells repeatedly.

The officer calmly receives her abuse before she apparently spits in his face, at which point he goes into action to apprehend her.

“Singh, who lives in tiny Schwenksville, Pennsylvania, was charged with obstruction of governmental administration, violation of local law and harassment,” the Post reports.

“Singh was also busted on resisting arrest charges at a Big Apple protest in September and unlawful assembly during a protest in Brooklyn in October, police said.”

Also on Wednesday night, a 23-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly attempting to intervene in the apprehension of a male suspect during riots in Manhattan.

“Rachel Menard, 23, is accused of intervening as Assistant Chief Stephen Hughes, the commanding officer of Patrol Borough Manhattan South, was assisting in the arrest of William Beaudoin just before 10:30 p.m. Wednesday,” police told the Post.

Menard allegedly punched Hughes in the face twice as officers were handcuffing Beaudoin, who himself had reportedly been attempting to thwart a comrade’s arrest.

Protests and riots have been ongoing in New York City for months, but have accelerated since Election Day.
