Graphic: Armored Vehicle Mows Down Anti-Maduro Protesters

Venezuelan dictator attempts shutting down efforts to overthrow him

Video footage from Venezuela appears to show Madurdo’s national guard troops plowing into protesters with armored vehicles in the streets of Caracas during a massive anti-socialist demonstration.

The clip shows two armored vehicles corralling around pro-Guaido protesters before one begins mowing down dozens of them amid the chaotic scene.

Violence erupted shortly after Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido called for a military uprising against socialist president Nicolas Maduro on Tuesday, in what he described as the “final phase” of his plan to topple the embattled dictator.

“The time is now! The 24 states of the country have taken the road: Street without return,” Guaido tweeted. “The future is ours: people and armed Forces united by the cessation of usurpation. Together we are invincible!”

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo referred to Guaido’s coup effort as “Operación Libertad,” adding that the U.S. fully supports their “quest for freedom and democracy.”

National Security Advisor and notorious neocon John Bolton stated that the United States stands with Guaido and that “democracy will be restored” in the socialist nation.
