Group of 107 Nicaraguans Caught Crossing Into Texas

"It hasn't stopped," top Border Patrol agent warns

A massive of group of more than 100 illegal aliens hailing from Nicaragua was apprehended in south Texas this week, authorities say.

On Tuesday, border agents announced they had captured the horde of migrants near Eagle Pass, TX.

“It hasn’t stopped…” Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Jason D. Owens wrote on social media. “We continue to see large groups crossing in Del Rio Sector.”

“This time, 107 Nicaraguan Nationals were encountered by Eagle Pass agents in one single event.”

Owens also reported that Border Patrol agents from Uvalde Station apprehended illegals hiding in train cars on multiple occasions this week.

“A new twist…” Agent Owens tweeted on Wednesday. “More train apprehensions are made by agents in Uvalde.”

“What’s different? This time, they encountered a family w/ a 17-month-old baby hiding in a gondola! Being in & around trains is EXTREMELY dangerous, especially for kids.”

Del Rio has become the second busiest sector for Border Patrol with over 91,650 migrant encounters recorded during the first three months of Fiscal Year 2022 alone.

More than 259,000 migrants from at least 106 countries were encountered in Del Rio Sector during Fiscal Year 2021.
