House Speaker Nancy Pelosi dodged questions about Democrat presidential contender Joe Biden’s son Hunter, whose laptop has brought unwanted attention to the former vice president’s pay-to-play schemes.
Taking questions from the press Thursday, Pelosi refused a reporter’s question on the laptop’s incriminating contents.
“Madam Speaker, the serious allegations of corruption involving Joe Biden,” a reporter manages to say, before being cut off abruptly by Pelosi.
The Democrat Rep. from California attempts to call on another member of the press, before going back to address the reporter, saying, “I’m sorry, I’m not answering your questions, okay? We’re talking about the coronavirus. I don’t have all day for questions. That’s what I’m taking now.”
Pelosi’s startled reaction is illustrative of Democrats’ paranoia over the contents of what President Trump has dubbed the “laptop from hell.”
Along with details of Hunter’s sordid personal life, including photos indicating “underage obsessions” and hard drug use, the laptop’s hard drive contains evidence that Democrat presidential contender Joe Biden was indeed profited from his son’s overseas business dealings.
