A live television interview with a Texas rancher about the ongoing migrant crisis was interrupted as border agents came through his property looking for illegal aliens.

Ranch owner John Sewell was speaking with Dana Perino on Fox News when dogs began barking and Sewell’s attention was directed elsewhere.

“Dana, I’m sorry – I had a group of guys coming through looking for some immigrants. You’re going to have to put it back at me again,” Sewell told Perino, who had been attempting to read a statement from Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) during the fracas.

“This is not panning out good for us. We’re under siege here. And when I say that – I’ve already got three this morning before breakfast.”

Sewell and other ranchers recently met with federal officials to plead for assistance in mitigating the surge of illegal aliens coming across the southern border onto their properties.

“The basic thing we got from this yesterday, unfortunately – we’re not going to get a lot of help from the CBP (Customs and Border Protection). They basically said their hands are tied,” he explained.

“It’s very unfortunate that we don’t have support from our CBP.”

Sewell says he and others are “nervous” about how to handle illegal aliens trespassing on their land.

“It seems like these people have more rights than we do,” he said.

Sewell went onto assert that most illegals entering the U.S. in his area are simply being released into the interior, corroborating extensive reporting by Infowars in recent months.
