Police arrested a man suspected of assaulting an elderly Trump supporter outside a polling location in Barnstable, Massachusetts, according to reports.
Bladen Tisdell, 32, was charged with assault and battery on a person over the age of 60 and disorderly conduct.
Barnstable Police arrived on the scene at a voting place at Osterville Fire Station at around 2 p.m. on Tuesday after receiving a call reporting a fight initiated by Tisdell.
“A 69-year-old man told police a younger man stopped his truck next to him while the victim was holding a Trump 2020 sign,” CBS Boston reports.
“The younger man allegedly grabbed the sign and threw it to the ground, then shoved the man with both hands and pushed him backwards while yelling.”
The victim was not injured in the altercation.
Tisdell reportedly fled in the scene in a pickup truck but was arrested shortly after.
Tisdell plead not guilty and was released on personal recognizance bail.
He is scheduled to reappear in court on Jan. 11th.
