In trying to resurrect the Kavanaugh saga, Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) asked Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett whether she’s ever sexually assaulted anyone.

Yes, really.

“Since you became a legal adult, have you ever made unwanted requests for sexual favors or committed any verbal or physical harassment or assault of a sexual nature?” Hirono, a member of the Judiciary Committee, asked Barrett on Tuesday.

“No, Senator Hirono,” Barrett responded.

“Have you ever faced discipline or entered into a settlement related to this kind of conduct?” Hirono asked.

“No, Senator,” Barrett replied.

The Democrats are certainly demonstrating themselves as a classy bunch during Day 2 of Barrett’s confirmation hearings.

It’s no surprise to anyone following his campaign, but it came as a shock to reporters on the ground in Arizona, as it is a battleground state, to see zero turnout for his co-hosted rally event with Kamala since the debates.
