An Arizona school was placed under lockdown after a massive fight involving dozens of students and at least one adult erupted on campus this week, according to reports.
The shocking incident unfolded on Tuesday at Tucson High School.
Authorities say 40-year-old Willie Smith was summoned to the school to pick up his two sons after they were involved in a “disturbance… involving another group of students,” KGUN reports.
Smith reportedly ignored requests to exit the premises discreetly, instead walking through the school with his boys.
“If it’s going down, it’s going down here,” the father told staff.
Smith and his sons then encountered other hostile students and words were exchanged.
Chaos ensued, as video footage shared to social media shows.
“I’ve never seen anything like that,” a student told KGUN. “You normally see one or two people, maybe two, you know? But like, 50-plus people? That is crazy.”
“I saw like one of the [school] office guys, like one of the higher-up guys, like he was getting trampled and stuff.”
The campus was placed under “hard lockdown” and Tucson Police Department officers were called to the scene.
Order was eventually restored and no injuries were reported.
Smith was arrested and charged with disrupting an educational institution.
A 15-year-old student was also arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
