Police in New York City are seeking a male suspect who struck another man in the head with a baseball bat last week, according to reports.
The disturbing incident unfolded at around 8 a.m. on Tuesday morning in Manhattan.
The victim, a 47-year-old homeless man, was walking along Amsterdam Avenue in Harlem when he was ambushed, 1010 Wins reports.
NYPD released surveillance footage of the brutal attack.
A masked suspect in dark clothing can be seen pursuing the unsuspecting man down the busy sidewalk.
The suspect then pulls a baseball bat out of his sweatpants, runs up behind his victim, and smashes him across the back of his head.
The injured man falls forward onto his face and writhes on the ground in pain.
The suspect runs away, then returns to menace his victim and apparently stomp on him before eventually fleeing the scene.
Police released additional photos of the suspect in hopes of obtaining more information.
