A teenage boy narrowly avoided being stabbed when he was jumped by a group of youths in New York City last week, according to reports.

The disturbing incident unfolded at around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday in Queens.

The 14-year-old victim was walking along a sidewalk when he was ambushed by at least five “unknown males,” authorities said.

One of the assailants reportedly pulled a blade and attempted to stab the boy but missed.

“An NYC teacher source believes the brawl broke out outside a Department of Education building at 30-20 Thomson Ave. in Long Island City that houses three high schools: Bard Early College, High School of Applied Communication, and Academy of Finance and Enterprise,” the New York Post reports.

Video footage of the attack was shared on social media.

The boy can be seen walking past a group when multiple males in masks suddenly begin punching him and pummeling him after he falls into the road.

The beating continues as vehicles honk on the busy street.

Incredibly, the victim reportedly escaped with only bruising and minor cuts.

An “investigation is ongoing,” authorities say.

Infowars has been reporting on the surge of crime in New York City and other major U.S. cities.
