Virginia counties opposed to their globalist government in Richmond are welcome to join their neighboring state instead, West Virginia Governor Jim Justice says.

Governor Justice and Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr. issued the invitation to disgruntled Virginians during a joint press conference.

“If you’re not happy where you’re at, come on down,” Justice said. “If you’re not truly happy where you are, we stand with open arms to take you from Virginia or anywhere you may be.”

“We stand strongly behind the Second Amendment, and we stand strongly for the unborn.”

Falwell, who heads the Lynchburg, Virginia-based university, echoed Justice’s sentiments, blasting the hard left’s takeover of Richmond.

“What’s happening in Virginia right now is a tragedy in the making,” Falwell said.

“Democrat leaders in Richmond, through their elitism and radicalism, have left a nearly unrecognizable state in their wake, and they are using their power to strip away the God-given rights held by every person in the state, despite their due protections under the U.S. Constitution.”

This is not the first time Virginians have been formally urged to join their neighbors in recent weeks, as West Virginia lawmakers have extended invitations to defect amid a radical shift to the left by Virginia’s lawmakers.

While many officials have ridiculed any notion the Virginias could be redrawn, there is a ‘Vexit’ movement building steam.

“This isn’t street theater, we fully intend to do everything we can to see it through,” said Rick Boyer, a Virginia attorney and conservative activist.

An armed suspect was shot dead by a homeowner during a burglary in Pascagoula, Mississippi, according to police.

The suspect, identified as Walter Williams, 31, is believed to have been involved in other home invasions in the area, local media reports.

“Williams, who is a resident of Pascagoula, allegedly broke into a home on Nathan Hale Drive Tuesday morning just before noon,” WLOX reports. “The homeowner – who was later identified as a longtime employee of the Jackson County Coroner’s Office – shot the intruder, said police.”

“Williams was known to authorities due to being in trouble with the law before. In fact, authorities say he was suspected in more than one burglaries, including one just days before he was fatally shot.”

Officials in a neighboring county were asked to handle the death investigation due to a potential conflict of interest presented by the homeowner’s connection to the local coroner’s office.

The homeowner, whose identity has not been revealed, is reportedly in the process of being appointed as deputy coroner of the Jackson County Coroner’s Office.

The case will be turned over a Grand Jury for review, but the homeowner is not expected to face any charges.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is calling on more law-abiding citizens to legally carry firearms in order to prevent massacres by armed criminals in the wake of Sunday’s tragic shooting at a church in his state.

Following the stunning gun battle that unfolded after a would-be mass killer opened fire at West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement, Texas, AG Paxton appeared on CNN to praise the “heroic efforts” of armed parishioners who confronted and killed the shooter.

“What I will say is they were heroic efforts,” Paxton said. “I have been saying this for years: we need to make sure that people can protect themselves because oftentimes law enforcement can’t react quickly. They can’t be there in seconds when these shooters are suddenly shooting.”

“It really is a remarkable thing these people reacted so quickly and saved the lives of the other 239 people in that congregation.”

In response, CNN host Jessica Dean pressed Paxton to discuss “what else can be done” to “stop gun violence in this country,” in an apparent attempt to shift the conversation to gun control.

“The reality is, I think our laws in Texas allow us to protect ourselves,” Paxton responded. “More people need to carry in our state — in our churches and places of business, so that if something like this horrible thing does happen, at least we have people that can react and save the lives of those around them.”

“There’s always discussion about imposing more gun restrictions. The reality is that somebody like this, who is willing to kill somebody, is unlikely to follow a gun law. So we need to continue to be vigilant and we need to allow our citizens to protect themselves — exactly what happened today, and I’m so grateful for the quick reaction because with what happened in other churches about a year ago, in other places around my state, when people were not armed, we had a lot more people die.”

Two church members were shot and killed before armed security guard Jack Wilson, 71, drew his firearm and killed suspect Keith Thomas Kinnunen with a single shot at considerable distance.

Wilson, who is a former deputy sheriff and current candidate for county commissioner, has been hailed as a hero.

A brutal home invasion was thwarted by a pregnant woman armed with an AR-15, according to reports.

An unidentified woman in Lithia, Fla., reportedly opened fire on two men who were viciously attacking her husband and his 11-year-old daughter.

“I’ve got a fractured eye socket, a fractured sinus cavity, a concussion, 20 stitches and three staples in my head,” Jeremy King told Bay News 9. “I took a severe beating.”

Kings says two men in masks burst into his home on Wednesday night and demanded money while pointing guns at him.

“They came in heavily-hooded and masked. As soon as they had got the back door opened, they had a pistol on me and was grabbing my 11-year-old daughter,” King said.

“I’m telling them, ‘I have nothing for you,’ and they’re like, ‘Give me everything you got.’ It became real violent, real fast.”

King says the men began pistol-whipping him and kicking him in the head before his wife, who is eight months pregnant, became aware of the situation

After one of the men shot at her, she retrieved a legally-owned AR-15 rifle and returned fire, hitting one suspect as they both fled.

“When he came toward the back door in her line of sight, she clipped him,” King explained. “He made it from my back door to roughly 200 feet out in the front ditch before the AR did its thing.”

“Them guys came in with two normal pistols and my AR stopped it,” he said. “(My wife) evened the playing field and kept them from killing me.”

Police later found one suspect deceased in a ditch nearby, and are searching for the other.

A home intruder was scared off by Philadelphia Eagles star Fletcher Cox when he grabbed a shotgun and called police, according to reports.

Cox was at his home when the suspect, Corbyn Nyemah, began a siege of the property in an attempt to track down his ex-girlfriend, according to court documents obtained by ABC 6 Action News.

Nyemah allegedly damaged his ex-girlfriend’s car, which was parked at Cox’s home, before attempting to force entry into the house by “throwing rocks through the front door.”

“Court records also reveal surveillance cameras at Cox’s home capturing Nyemah walking around the exterior of the property with a baseball bat and attempting to enter the garage multiple times,” ABC 6 reports.

“After Cox armed himself with a shotgun, he called police reporting a man attempting to break into his home.”

Nyemah reportedly fled the property and led police on a chase, but was eventually apprehended by U.S. Marshals.

“Nyemah wouldn’t go on camera but didn’t deny the attack,” said WPVI reporter Chad Pradelli, who confronted Nyemah at his home.

“He told me most of what was detailed in court records was true. Police say surveillance outside Cox’s [home] captured much of the attempted burglary. Nyemah says he wanted to talk to his ex-girlfriend who he dated for 2 yrs.”

Nyemah reportedly sent a photo of himself brandishing a firearm to his ex-girlfriend following the police pursuit.

A legally-armed citizen is being hailed as a hero after he thwarted an attempted robbery at a 7-Eleven in Virginia, shooting two perpetrators and killing one, according to reports.

Police were called to a 7-Eleven convenience store in Virginia Beach at around 2:10 am on Thursday morning, where they reportedly discovered two people had been shot, one of whom ultimately died while the other suffered life-threatening injuries.

“Investigators learned that the two males had entered the 7-Eleven and were attempting to commit an armed robbery of the store clerks,” a Virginia Beach Police spokesperson said. “Another citizen, who was already in the store and in possession of a legal weapon, confronted and ultimately shot the suspects.”

Local media spoke with customers who were in the store at the time. They called the armed civilian a “hero.”

The wounded suspect was transported to hospital while a third suspect was arrested in the vicinity.

Police say they believe the attempted heist was related to three more armed robberies that took place that night in nearby communities.

This is the second deadly shooting at a 7-Eleven in Hampton Roads in the past two weeks.
