Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) says that a ‘glass of water’ could be elected in Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) district if it ran as a Democrat.

The House Speaker seemed to downplay the young congresswoman’s success in toppling longtime incumbent Joe Crowley in what was regarded by many as one of the biggest upsets in the 2018 midterm elections.

“When we won this election, it wasn’t in districts like mine or Alexandria’s,” Pelosi told an audience at the London School of Economics and Political Science. “She’s a wonderful member of Congress, I think all of our colleagues would attest.”

“But those are districts that are solidly Democratic,” Pelosi said while picking up a water glass from the table. “This glass of water would win with a ‘D’ next to its name in those districts.”

Pelosi clarified that she didn’t mean to “diminish” the “exuberance and personality” of Ocasio-Cortez and her contemporaries, such as Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) — all first-term congresswomen who represent an insurgency of radical socialists within the party.

Pelosi’s remarks came immediately following an interview with 60 Minutes in which she rejected the young revolutionaries as a threat to her power.

“You have these wings — AOC and her group on one side…” said host Lesley Stahl, in reference to new factions forming in the Democrat Party.

“That’s like five people,” Pelosi interjected.

And days before, in an interview with USA Today, Pelosi took a thinly-veiled shot at Ocasio-Cortez’s popularity on social media, saying, “While there are people who have a large number of Twitter followers, what’s important is that we have a large number of votes on the floor of the House.”

Watch as the Democrats and MSM talking heads go into a death spiral now that they know their game is up.

California Congressman Eric Swalwell has thrown his hat into the crowded 2020 Democrat presidential field and will center his campaign on gun control, including a “mandatory buyback” of all ‘assault weapons’ currently in possession of lawful firearms owners.

Swalwell stated his objectives in an interview with Esquire published to coincide with his formal campaign announcement on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Monday.

“I’m going to be an aspirational candidate who believes that in our lifetime we could… buyback and ban every single assault weapon,” Swalwell said. “I will be the first candidate to say that reducing gun violence has to be a top three issue.”

“Last year I wrote a bill calling for a buyback and ban on assault weapons — not just to ban future manufacturing, but to just take the 15 million that are out there and buy them back. And do what Australia did, do what New Zealand did. They’ve shown us — Australia in the 90s, New Zealand just this week — that courage in doing the right thing can protect people.”

Swalwell confirmed his intention that the “buyback” would be mandatory in an op-ed also published on Monday.

“I’m the only candidate calling for a mandatory national ban and buyback of military-style semiautomatic assault weapons,” he wrote. “It’s bold and will cost money, but it is constitutional and it rightly treats gun violence as a life-or-death matter.”

“Our children deserve better than an attempt to reduce or contain gun violence. Our goal must be to end it.”

Swalwell recently ignited a firestorm when he insinuated that the U.S. government could deploy nuclear weapons against gun owners who resist his confiscation plans.

“Make no mistake, Democrats want to eradicate the Second Amendment, ban and seize all guns, and have all power rest with the state,” tweeted Newsmax host and former NYPD officer John Cardillo with a link to an article quoting Swalwell’s call to, “Ban assault weapons, buy them back, go after resisters.”

Military veteran Joe Biggs responded to Cardillo, “So basically Rep. Swalwell wants a war. Because that’s what you would get. You’re outta your fucking mind if you think I’ll give up my rights and give the gov all the power.”

Swalwell, who was tagged in the conversation, weighed in.

“And it would be a short war my friend,” Swalwell wrote. “The government has nukes. Too many of them. But they’re legit.”

The Illinois House of Representatives has passed a bill mandating that all publicly-traded companies headquartered in the state will need to have a woman and an African-American sitting on its corporate board by 2021.

Failure to comply could result in fines of up to $300,000.

A heated debate on the House floor preceded the bill’s passage, according to Illinois News Network.

“I’m not going to be ashamed to stand here and fight for the people that sent me here,” said Rep. Emanuel Chris Welch (D), who is African-American. “Let’s stand up for our people.”

“Ashamed to fight for African-Americans to have a right in the room? Are you kidding me?”

Opponents of the bill have warned that it will create more hurdles for Illinois business growth, effectively signaling that the state is unwelcoming of new companies.

“We are destroying the ability for our state to grow,” said Rep. Tony McCombie (R).

The bill stipulates, “the Secretary of State shall publish a report on its website documenting the number of corporations that have at least one female director and one African American director, the number of corporations that were in compliance at one point during the preceding calendar year, the number of corporations that moved to Illinois during the preceding calendar year, and the number of corporations that were previously subject to the requirements during the preceding year but are no longer publicly traded. Provides penalties for violations.”

The bill now heads to the Illinois Senate for consideration.

Congressional Democrats are displaying ‘Transgender Equality’ flags outside their offices in protest of the so-called military ‘trans ban’ proposed by the Trump administration.

The National Center for Transgender Awareness announced that the flags had been delivered to every member of Congress as part of ‘Trans Visibility Week.’

“To mark this year’s Trans Visibility Week, we’ve done something UNPRECEDENTED: With the help of community members & volunteers, we delivered trans pride flags to EVERY member of the Congress, from every party, including voting members and non-voting delegates,” the group tweeted. “Our request: Fly them outside your office for Trans Visibility Week.”

Many Democrats have complied, sharing photographs to social media calling the military policy “hateful” and an act of “bigotry.”

House Democrats passed a non-binding resolution opposing the partial ban on transgender military personnel this week. Only five House Republicans joined them.

The Supreme Court has ruled the restrictions can be implemented, however transgender troops will reportedly be allowed to serve if they do so as their biological sex, and other transgender personnel already serving will be grandfathered in.

A Smithsonian poll published in January revealed only 39% of active and retired servicepeople supported transgenders serving in the military.

Democrats are on a warpath to impeach President Trump, with Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) leading the charge alongside Congressional colleagues Jerry Nadler and Adam Schiff.

Waters has hardly modulated her impeachment rhetoric, even when other Democrats did so in the lead up to the 2018 midterm elections.

Now that House Democrats have launched a sweeping probe into the President’s affairs, Waters is doubling down on her wild claims regarding Trump’s alleged misdeeds.

“Obstruction of justice reality show: Firing Comey, sending coded messages to Manafort & others that he has the power to pardon; lying abt Trump Tower meeting; threatening Cohen’s in-laws; attempting to destroy Mueller,” Waters tweeted. “What more do we need to know? Impeachment is the only answer.”

“For the faint of heart, who’ve been waiting for every “t” to be crossed and every “i” to be dotted, now is the time to demonstrate your patriotism. Support impeachment!”

During recent comments following the testimony of former Trump attorney Michael Cohen, Waters claimed to believe the Trump Foundation is actually a tax evasion front.

“There’s one thing that I think should not be missed that came out of the hearing, and that is how [Trump] directed payments into the foundation to keep from paying taxes,” Waters said. “I think there’s more than we know about at this time.”

“I think that’s an area that should be looked at because I think the foundation has been used by him to avoid paying taxes on money he’s earned.”

A new Quinnipiac poll found that only 35 percent of Americans favor impeaching the President, while an overwhelming 59 percent oppose the idea.

Democrats are serving as public relations agents for criminals south of America’s border, according to Former Acting ICE Director Tom Homan.

Homan was responding to a Fox host reporting that 42 million Latin Americans are watching the southern border to determine the “best time” to infiltrate the U.S.

“Yeah, why wouldn’t they? If there’s no consequence, no deterrence — Look, these criminal organization, the cartels, they’re getting fat with money and the Democrats are helping them,” said Homan.

“They don’t need a PR campaign. They got the Democrats doing it for them.”

Correspondingly, if Democrats get what they want, ICE will have to release 30,000 criminals from detention, Homan added during his Monday talk on Fox and Friends.

“I’ve been saying for almost a year that I don’t think they’re ever going to accomplish the ‘abolish ICE’ that they’ve been saying they’re going to do,” he said. “But I’ve been saying what they’re going to do is bankrupt ICE to make them ineffective.”

“They’ll take their money away so they can’t do their job.”

Homan detailed how Dem’s are exploiting ICE’s caps on detention beds to effectively force the agency to release tens of thousands.

“The number they put on the table, like 32,000 cap beds,” he said. “Understand ICE is currently at 47,000, which means there’re 15,000 over the cap. Now we’re halfway through the year. To get to that 32,000 by the end of year they’re going to have to go 15,000 below 32.”

“So that means if they’re 15,000 above, they have to go 15,000 below — ICE will have to release 30,000 people from custody.”

Furthermore, during President Trump’s state of the Union address, Democrats revealed their priorities to the nation by not applauding Trump when he said he was going to bankrupt the drug cartels and target sex trafficking on the southern border.

Alex Jones explains how this may bring about actual collapse of civilization.

Michelle Obama is likely preparing for a 2020 presidential run and could enter the race under favorable circumstances, asserts Rush Limbaugh.

The talk radio host also believes that should the former First Lady throw her hat in the ring, she would instantly overshadow other prominent hopefuls such as Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, and Howard Schultz.

“If Michelle Obama runs, then [it’s] ‘Kamala who?’ and ‘Joe who?’ and ‘Howard who?’ and ‘all the rest of them who?’” Limbaugh said. “I do believe that she’s thinking about it.”

“I don’t think they’ve made up their mind yet, but I think they are preparing for her to run. They’re surveying the land. They’re surveying the circumstances.”

“And if the right shoes drop and the right things happen, I think Michelle will be in there, and the proof of the pudding is by the utter denial, but all the books and all of the speeches and the all of this and the all of that…” said Limbaugh, alluding to Obama’s recently released autobiographical memoir and wildly popular publicity tour.

While Obama has repeatedly denied any intention of running for president during the 2020 cycle, many believe she could enter the race at any time and have a legitimate shot at winning.

Michelle Obama was named the “Most Admired Woman” in America in 2018 by Gallup voters, dethroning Hillary Clinton after a 17 year run at the top.

In fact, with 15% of the vote, Obama topped Oprah Winfrey, Hillary Clinton, and Melania Trump – combined.

“No other potential Democratic candidate can draw crowds like Michelle Obama can,” notes columnist Michael Snyder. “She has been selling out her national book tour while charging “as much as $597.00 to $1,435 per ticket.”  A clear effort is being made to help her step out from the long shadow of her husband, and it looks like the stage is being set for her to become the ‘reluctant hero’ that will ‘save the nation from Trump’ in 2020.”

Watch Infowars’ Owen Shroyer and Roger Stone explain why they also think Michelle Obama is going to run against President Trump in the 2020 election below.

The United States is at risk of collapsing if the southern frontier is not secured and a barrier built, says former Arizona Governor Jan Brewer.

Brewer delivered the stark warning during an interview on Breitbart News Tonight, asserting a “crisis” has been unfolding at the border for a “long time.”

“I often used to say, a country without a border secured is like a house without walls, it collapses,” Brewer said. “You have to have your houses protected or it will collapse. And if you don’t have a wall on the border, our country is going to collapse. It’s as simple as that. And it doesn’t seem to be something that’s very hard to understand.”

“The Democrats — the left-leaning liberal Democrats — just want open borders. I think that’s very plain.”

“We’ve had a crisis for a long time. It’s ruining our country. Illegal immigration is wrong,” Brewer continued. “If I go to Mexico, I have to go through the Port of Entry, I have to show my ID.”

“Mexico, Canada they all have these rules, but no we can’t do that because we have to be what, compassionate? Well, let’s show a little compassion for our fellow citizens.”

In another recent interview, Brewer offered her encouragement and support for President Trump and his mission to fulfill a critical campaign promise to secure America’s borders.

Brewer believes the President will stand firm in a withering storm of international criticism over the longest government shutdown in U.S. history.

“From all those drugs come all these other problems,” she told America Talks Live. “We’ve got to get a handle on it. We need to get our border secure and we need a barrier.”

“I don’t think the president is going to blink . . . he’s going to solve the issue.”

Dan Lyman:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is calling for alternative options to a wall at the southern border, including road repairs at ports of entry in order to “facilitate immigration.”

Pelosi offered the bizarre suggestion during a meandering and barely coherent press conference that did little to quell speculation she may be suffering from some form of cognitive or motor impairment.

“What we are proposing is to build the infrastructure of the ports of entry, strengthen that — the ports of entry,” Pelosi said. “Spend the money.”

“It’s hundreds of millions of dollars but accessible to have the scanning technology to scan cars coming through for drugs, contraband of any kind — weapons even. Repair the roads to facilitate immigration and trade in those regions.”

This is not the first time Pelosi has put forth peculiar ideas for mitigating the crisis at the U.S.-Mexico frontier.

She suggested “mowing the grass” instead of building a border wall last year.

“Let’s talk about where a more serious structure might be necessary, where fencing will do, where mowing the grass so that people can’t be smuggled through the grass – that’s something.”

The partial government shutdown over wall funding is now tied for the longest shutdown in history, but neither side is showing signs of surrender.

Pelosi has called the proposed border wall “an immorality,” saying it is “not who we are as a nation.”

Meanwhile, President Trump is exploring alternative pathways to funding and constructing the wall, including declaring a national emergency and directing the military to undertake the project.

Dan Lyman:

President Trump taunted Democrats who previously expressed support for a barrier along the southern border, pointing out that some even voted in favor of funding projects similar to the border wall now being blocked by many in the D.C. establishment.

As the partial government shutdown continues, Trump unleashed a salvo of tweets aimed at hypocritical Democrats whose border security rhetoric has sounded nearly identical to the President’s in the past.

“I’m in the Oval Office,” Trump wrote. “Democrats, come back from vacation now and give us the votes necessary for Border Security, including the Wall. You voted yes in 2006 and 2013. One more yes, but with me in office, I’ll get it built, and Fast!”

“It’s incredible how Democrats can all use their ridiculous sound bite and say that a Wall doesn’t work. It does, and properly built, almost 100%! They say it’s old technology – but so is the wheel. They now say it is immoral- but it is far more immoral for people to be dying!”

Hours earlier, the President compared the porous southern border to an “open wound” and a gateway for criminality and illegal migrants.

“I campaigned on Border Security, which you cannot have without a strong and powerful Wall. Our Southern Border has long been an ‘Open Wound,’ where drugs, criminals (including human traffickers) and illegals would pour into our Country. Dems should get back here an fix now!”

In 2006, Democrat Senators Chuck Schumer, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Dianne Feinstein all voted in favor of the Secure Fence Act of 2006.

The Daily Caller recently compiled a video comparing past Democrat rhetoric on border security and illegal immigration to statements made by President Trump during his campaign and presidency.
