An American truck driver has pleaded guilty to transporting more than 100 illegal aliens in his vehicle, according to reports.

Jonathan Kyle Price, 42, was busted with 117 illegals inside his trailer at a checkpoint near Laredo, Texas, on February 19.

While Border Patrol agents were inspecting his rig, Price sped off but was pulled over shortly afterwards.

A sniffer dog detected the humans onboard, and Price was arrested.

“In a federal courtroom on Monday in Laredo, Price pleaded guilty to conspiracy to transport undocumented aliens, admitting that he agreed to smuggle 117 undocumented immigrants past a Border Patrol checkpoint, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Texas,” according to Border Report.

Price will be sentenced on October 25 and faces up to 10 years in prison.

Commercial trailers are frequently used to smuggle illegal aliens into the U.S.

Days after the incident involving Price, more than 200 illegal aliens escaped from a refrigerated tractor-trailer parked at a gas station south of San Antonio.

At least three Texans have reportedly been charged with smuggling illegal aliens in big rigs in the past week alone.
