Joe Biden once again peddled the false claim that Trump supporters murdered police officers during the January 6 riots on Capitol Hill.
In remarks to the graduating class of the University of Delaware on Saturday, Biden accused “insurrectionists” of “storming the Capitol” and killing two police officers on January 6, 2021.
“A mob of insurrectionists stormed the Capitol, the very citadel of democracy,” Biden said. “Imagine what you’d be thinking today if you had heard this morning before you got here that a group of a thousand people broke down the doors of the parliament of Great Britain, killed two police officers, smashed and ransacked the office of members of the British Parliament or any other, what would you think? What would you think?”
Biden has repeatedly made the false claim that Trump supporters murdered police officers on January 6.
Contrary to Biden’s lie, Officer Brian Sicknick died of natural causes a day after the Jan. 6 protests after suffering two strokes. The media claimed for weeks that he was murdered with a fire extinguisher.
And four other police officers, either with the Capitol police of the DC Metropolitan police, died of suicide in the weeks following January 6.
But Biden never lets inconvenient things like facts get in the way of a manufactured narrative to demonize Trump supporters.
