A Florida resident who went viral in 2016 for headbanging with the American flag during Hurricane Matthew is back.
Lane Pittman, who famously rocked out to Slayer’s “Raining Blood” 2 years ago, repeated the stunt Friday in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina as Hurricane Florence descended on the area.
In a video posted to Twitter, Pittman declared that the “FLORIDA MAN IS HERE.”

Pittman’s jam session caught the attention of Fox Business reporter Kristina Parts, who was understandably confused by the scene.

When asked by Parts for the reasoning behind his actions, Pittman said he was simply “being free and American.”
“I don’t let nothing oppress me,” Pittman quipped. “Especially no doggone freaking hurricanes.”

The metalhead made his way to Myrtle Beach after successfully raising $250 for the trip on GoFundMe.
“Pay for my gas/coffee and I’ll go fight Hurricane Florence. MERICA BABY!!! We stick together,” Pittman wrote on the account Thursday.
Pittman’s first video earned millions of views across social media and has since led to numerous similar acts.
Last year during Hurricane Irma the Slayer fan even produced a music video, once again featuring the thrash band’s iconic song.
Also a musician, Pittman was arrested in 2015 on Independence Day after playing the national anthem on his guitar on a Neptune Beach sidewalk.
