A frustrated Austin resident bull-horned outside the home of Mayor Steve Adler Wednesday night after it was revealed the Democrat politician was vacationing in Cabo San Lucas as he told Austin residents to stay home.

“Cabo Adler, we want you out of office,” the man shouts, protesting outside the W Hotel in Downtown Austin.

“Hey Mayor Adler, how was Mexico?” he asks, adding, “Can we have Thanksgiving, or Christmas, yet?”

The man’s protest comes after Adler issued an apology to the city claiming he suffered a “lapse in judgement” when he filmed a message to Austin residents telling them to stay home, while at the same time vacationing in Cabo following his daughter’s wedding last month.

“We need to stay home if you can,” Adler told Austinites from Cabo. “We need to keep the numbers down. Now is not the time to relax.”

On Wednesday, after his hypocrisy became national headline news, Adler apologized, saying:

“I regret this travel. I wouldn’t travel now, didn’t over Thanksgiving and won’t over Christmas… But my fear is that this travel, even having happened during a safer period, could be used by some as justification for risky behavior. In hindsight, and even though it violated no order, it set a bad example for which I apologize.”

The mayor’s apology followed criticism from national political figures, including Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and the president’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., who also held other hypocrite Democrats’ feet to the fire over their do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do behavior.
